1. The lampu'uk - Lambadeuek forest trek

This trek will pass coffee, chocolade and kretek plantations.

2. Lambadeuek Lhok Keutapang Kecil trek

We will be walking through the forest to a beach where there is a bat cave. Unfortunately the sea is dangerous for swimming because of currents that can pull people to open sea.

3. Lambadeuek Lhok Keutapang Besar trek

We will be walking through the forest and do some light climbing untill we reach a 20 meter wide beach. Unfortunately the sea is dangerous for swimming because of currents that can pull people to open sea. Very nice view to the outer islands.

4. Ujung Pancu Lhok Mata Ie trek

We will be walking through plantations and forest area to a small deserted beach. Perfect trek for beginners. Swimming is possible but please do not go too far. Very nice view to Pulau Batee island.

5. Lambadeuek Goh Leumoh mountain trek

We will be entering the forest, passing caves and ravines to the appr. 700 meter top from where we can enjoy the view over Ulhee Lheu harbor, Banda Aceh and even Lhoknya.

6. Lampu'uk - Langeh Beach trek.

From Lampu'uk we walk up the hill untill we reach the quiet Langeh beach. The beach is safe for swimming. On the beach there is a WWII Japanse bunker.

7. Lhoknya Goh Wemp mountain tour

We start our tour at Pocut Krueng, Keude Bieng and go up the mountain. On top of the mountain there is a hidden valley with a durian fruit plantation. We take a rest at the former GAM hideout on the plantation. From there we proceed to a open cave. We partially climb the way down with help from the guides. During the trip the guides will demonstrate their jungle survival techniques. Droppings of the Malayan Sun Bear (aka honeybear) can sometimes be spotted on the trail.

8. Lhoong Pudeng waterfall jungle trek

This trek takes us 250 meter up next to a beautiful waterfall. On top of the mountain we can swim in the river or sit in one of the natural rock pools. We return back through a Durian plantaion road where we will pass some small ravines.

9. Lhoong Pudeng River walk trek

This trek takes us appr. 4 km. up river by walking over stones. There is plently of opportunity to swim in the fresh water river in several locations. We return back through the forest and newly established plantations. Some parts of the area are damaged due to illegal logging.

10. Extreme hiking Geureutee Mountain Beach Hike.

This trek is considered extreme because the trail is not visible and only the ex GAM knows where to walk. We walk down the mountain into a hidden bay. The road to the hidden bay is a real challenge for extreme hiking fans. Some level of danger is involved. The bay is perfect for fishing so please bring your equipment. Physical fitness is a must!

11. Jantho Waterfall jungle trek

After one hour drive from Banda Aceh we arrive in the laid-back town of Jantho. To reach the big waterfall we have to cross a number of small rivers so you won't be able to keep your feet dry. Some part of the trail is now an illegal logging path.

Island Tours

Aceh Explorer Adventure Tours offers - depending on the season - island excursions to Pulau Bunta, Pulau Nasi and Pulau Keureusik. Depending on the size of the group we use traditional fishing boats and larger 10 tons boats.

Max. 5 tourists per traditional fishing boat. Prices for large groups (minimum 20 people) upon request. For groups, we also offer day trips to Gapang Beach Pulau Weh from Ulhee Lheu harbor upon request.

Price per person to the islands is Rp. 300.000. Minimum number of participants: 4. Special packages are available to those who would like to spend the night on one of these islands. Please contact us for details. Pulau Batee is a privately owned island and therefor we offer no trips to Pulau Batee at this moment.
